REQUEST TO VIEW PERSONNEL FILE
I have just left a message for a (Robin Ruger?)HR person to schedule me an appointment so I can view my file. Obviously I am very interested to view what kind of records Trimet is keeping on me. We are allowed the right to view our files according to the union.

Of course there was no answer at her extension, as always seems to be the case when I call the Ivory Tower.
Actually ORS 652.750 allows them up to 45 days from date of request to furnish you a COPY of your personnel file. But you must request a copy, and not a viewing.
You should be able to view your originals, although there is no legal guarantee you can do so out of sight of management, or that you may remove any information from your file.
