TRIMET never ending bullshit-repost

Bad year for Mcfarlane and his cronies
Poor Trimet executives, it has not been a particularly good year for them.
Let's recap all the recent events that have brought us to where the entire state legislature, except one lone representative, passed a law that will bring an audit by the Secretary of State into Trimet's internal procedures  UP TO AND INCLUDING THE ISSUE OF TRANSPARENCY!

Try as they might, spin as much as possible, this is a huge setback for Mcfarlane and his cronies. These folks have taken a lot of hits since Mcfarlane became emperor.

Let's see, Mcfarlane asked the legislature to remove the arbitration law that prohibits Trimet union workers to strike. (What we are seeing at BART Mcfarlane would have for here) That went nowhere.

Mcfarlanes cronies got caught attempting to obstruct the Oregonian investigation into overtime.

They were fined by a judge for obstruction of justice.

A revolution in Clackamas county took hold and propelled anti light rail candidates into office.

Ordinances were adopted in King City and Tigard against light rail.

Loss of several unfair labor practices involving their employees. (that Mcfarlane refuses to honor)

CRC thrown into the trash by Washington law makers due to the light rail provision which was basically a vote against Trimet.

And the Coup de grĂ¢ce, secret raises hidden in the contingency budget and the misrepresentation of facts by Trimet executives

So what does Trimet have to say about the audit. Here it is, and its not authored by the usual suspects, Festch of Alstadt , nope its from  Angela Murphy:

NEWS RELEASE: Senate passage of HB3316

Posted in TriMet News

TriMet issued the following statement regarding Senate passage of HB3316 calling for a performance audit of the agency conducted by the Secretary of State:
TriMet supports the bill (haha, sure they do)  and welcomes a performance audit conducted by the Secretary of State’s office. We will be fully responsive as the audit proceeds.
Our financials are independently audited each year, and we regularly undergo outside audits and reviews by state and federal agencies. These reviews provide important validation on the direction of the agency, but can also point out ways to improve our operations. We hope the Secretary of State’s audit will provide that same validation or recommendations on ways to improve related to recent questions raised about our finances, union contact, non-union compensation, governance and transparency, and other issues.
Transit is a critical service to this community, connecting people to work, school, doctor appointments and other life activities. About 330,000 times a day someone boards a TriMet bus or train. (yes thank you for reminding us)  As we focus on continuous improvement, we look forward to the Secretary of State’s findings and ways to improve our overall operations for the benefit of our riders and the entire community. (I'm sure you look forward to it, we all are looking forward to it. Most of us would be happier if the audit was completed from someone outside of Oregon politics because we all know the interconnectedness of all the governmental officials and technocrats. But we will take what we can get. And be ready to explain every single action involving those secret raises Mcfarlane gave himself and all his cronies)  CLICK HERE!
