Riding the bus would be great except for the people @trimet hires. I've been pro-union my whole life, until trimet.

TRIMET UNION EMPLOYEES UNDOING THEMSELVES
Whether its white shirted fare Nazi's or rude ass bus drivers I keep seeing more and more comments like the one below. Don't expect public support for Trimet union employees as long as this sort of thing continues.

More evidence that management s plan is working.
Unions are part of the fight for fair pay, good benefits, and decent working conditions. You either believe in these things or not. Being "pro-uunion" is not some beauty or personality contest.

Agreed, however people that are currently in a union have to remember there are a lot more people that are not in unions. It's those people that need to be convinced of the value of a union. If they perceive union members as abusing them, then we have lost hope for their support.
Union members have to remember they are paid to perform....to do a service....so flipping the finger at your job is not productive to the union cause. When people see this, they take deep resentment to it, and it makes the other members who do perform dismayed at their own union!
The fact that you should have to "sell" the concept (fair pay, good benefits, decent working conditions) of unions to people as some sympathetic cause shows just how screwed up some people in this country are. They been down so long it looks like up to them. And then there are the judgemental types who just like to complain and look down on working people.
