Happy July 4th to Fast Freddie Hansen-he's coming home

Fast Freddie created quite a myth while in Portland and left Trimet with an obscene pension after raking in several million dollars in salary.  He left his union employees in a huge mess. While the media makes a big deal out of union health care plans there has been zero media coverage of Fred's obscene pension ($16.7k/mo.) I've lost 20% of my pension value Fred has lost nothing.

Fast Freddie scored himself a couple million and a nice big fat 'retirement' check from the Trimet board of sock puppets and fled to Australia (which BTW was first reported on this very blog)
Hansen of course would never have to work again but you know how it is with these types of people, there is never enough money to satisfy them and their ego's need to be perpetually stroked.

So Fred took his show to Australia and tried to sell it there. Apparently its not working out quite as he expected:

Renewal SA was keen to proceed with the plan to demolish 50 inner-city housing trust apartments and build a 170-apartment block, but the Minister’s office pulled the pin on the project, InDaily can reveal.
The revelation indicates a developing schism between the State Government and its key development agency, as insiders warn the organisation’s head Fred Hansen may not have long left in his post.

Fred Hansen, inaugural Chief Executive of the state’s Urban Renewal Authority, has announced he and Heather are returning to their home in Oregon, USA.
After two years at the helm of Renewal SA, Mr Hansen said the time was right to return home.
“Earlier this year I had a knee operation to address a running injury. And in March I turned 68.  These two events allowed me to reflect on my priorities. (ya right he was fired)
“Heather and I have absolutely loved our time in Adelaide and we feel we have accomplished much.  But now is the time for us to reconnect with family in the States and make time for long overdue travel plans.
“We are very much looking forward to the next chapter in our lives.
“I have valued my time here at Renewal SA working with a high performing team who are passionate about making a positive difference to the way South Australians are able to live.
