He was in the background of the speakers at the TriMet board meeting!
His name is JC Vannatta.
When he was hired, Neil sent this to employees:
I am very pleased to announce that JC Vannatta will join the General Manager’s office in a new position of Manager of Corporate Outreach. Many of you know JC from his previous time in Capital Projects. He is a highly skilled communicator with an abundance of energy and enthusiasm.
In this new position JC will work directly with me on external outreach and constituent building. Among the things I will ask him to do includes assisting me with outreach to our business partners and local partners, General Manager communications, reports to stakeholders and board relations.
This move reflects the high priority I place on good communication and relationships with our partners around the region.
JC worked at TriMet from 2001 through 2005 as Manager of Project Communications. After he left TriMet he went to Chicago where he was in the marketing department at CTA and most recently as Marketing Manager at RTA. Before coming to TriMet JC had experience as a reporter for a Montana TV station and as a freelance writer.
Please join me in welcoming JC and supporting him in this new position.

Do not know his name, but, he was making horrid faces while ATU President Hunt was speaking to the TriMet Board. Extremely unprofessional.

What the hell is a "Manager of Corporate Outreach"?
And why the hell does TriMet need it? A manager whose job is to outreach to corporations?
Just more proof: TriMet doesn't work for us, the riders and citizens of the district...TriMet is just a shell game for corporate welfare for light rail contractors and developers.
I hear this guy is one of Neil's inner circle.
Manager of corporate outreach-
"how to give my crony a good paying job because I am in charge"
Talk about a yes man! He just about broke his neck showing the BOSS MAN he is his loyal flunkie. Just another crony with a virtual job and responsibilities. How would a bus get down the road with virtual operators?
I feel better knowing TM has people doing this critical work.
He will have a job until his boss is shown the door.
JC asked me to come talk with him in his office after I spoke a board meeting!
