This isn't the only bad news for Pierce Transit, which according to the most recent WashDOT Transit Data Update is Washington States' second largest transit agency by ridership (2nd to only King Co. Metro) and serves the third largest population in service area (behind Metro again and Sound Transit): There was all the negative publicity from the bus overturning a few months ago, and their ballot measure failed in Feb., which will result in a 35% service cut. (To put this in perspective, imagine if the TriMet 72 only ran every 60 minutes).
