I'm still struggling with putting the entire blame for these bus-pedestrian collisions on bus drivers. I've had a number of "near misses" when turning - always when a pedestrian (or cyclist) dashed into the intersection (techinically with the light) at the last minute in order to beat the countdown or get across quickly before the light changed. This is especially problematic with cyclists who have decided they're pedestrians (often swerving from street to sidewalk to crosswalk), but has definitely also been a problem with last minute dashing pedestrians.
