Trimet may have been hijacked by the rich and connected, but us little guys keep on fighting back!
Notice how they frame the debate? If you're opposed to, or question, a huge beast of financial burden like Milwaukie L.R. (more debt service anyone?) , then you don't care about about addressing climate change. Nevermind further cuts to bus service or the soot-spewing dinosaur buses that need replacing. If you're not for rail at any cost ,then you're just not an environmentalist (at least not a Portland greenwashed one) .
