DOES TRIMET KNOW HOW TO SPIN OR WHAT?
These people are good, too good for their own good!
Forest Grove studying Canby pullout...service is slowly dismantling--that's what happens when you don't reinvest in quality bus service and decide to build trains on the public's & Fed's dime.
Oh, I'm sure TriMet will just push up the Hillsboro-Forest Grove MAX line to make F.O. happy. They've been salivating over that possibility for the last five years or so.
Even Portland & Western (at the time) said they could make it happen for $30 million. (Now, P&W is not so supportive of such projects and would be happy if WES went away.)
Erik H.- I agree with your view. I do think in these times of shrinking budgets, smaller communities will start to question delivery of transit service vs their taxes to TriMet. Is it balanced? With the severity of an obvioius disinvestment in bus service and a clear devotion to building very exspenive MAX service, citizens are starting to say--enough.

THAT's why TriMet has that big Marketing department...
Yup and I have to admit they are DAMN GOOD!
They are good, so long as no one challanges them, in the "public".

Forest Grove actually has some of the best transit service in the region. It's almost 24-hour there.
