HB SAYS 'STEALTH' FARE INCREASE

Homeless in front of city hall
I guess no one appreciates with this app, YOU WILL NOW PAY $5 FARES, not $2.5 any more. 2 F's were not given today. Just ask the poor who don't have $5 nor a smart phone.

You don't have to use the fares right when you buy them. But unless you're buying day pass or for multiple riders, you are forced to buy some tickets in advance.

Just shows that HB doesn't know what he's talking about.

This is like saying that buying tickets from Safeway means that tickets cost $25 each.

BTW: Those people are in front of City Hall, not the rescue mention. So yeah, I guess that's two fails in one post.

If you use the app, in my small understanding, you have to pay a minimum of $5, right? (posted else where on this blog). If this is indeed the case, my case is closed.

I guess the assumption is that if you have a 'smart' phone with internet access you can afford $5

Yes, the minimum purchase is $5, So you can buy 2 $2.50 one way tickets, and stock pile the second one until you need it. You do NOT have to buy a day pass, you do NOT have to use everything you buy right away. Most people do travel round trip.....dont they?

Of course TriMet is more interested in bragging instead of explaining this to everyone.
