MAX REDLINE ALWAYS ENTERTAINING

Flogging On

Oregon governor Retread and his cronies continue to flog away toward their goal of ramming a light rail bridge over the Columbia River into downtown Vancouver, and their latest plan is for Oregon and the feds to build the whole thing. Despite the fact that both Washington governor Inslee and Oregon governor Retread declared the nightmare over in the aftermath of the Washington State Senate's refusal to fund any more of the project, Retread's decided it ain't over yet, after all (of course, this is the same guy who declared Oregon "ungovernable" - only to turn around and run for another term).
In the latest development, a flunky at Oregon Treasury says that if the planets and stars align just right, Oregon can pull it off. Still, it remains to be seen whether or not Clark County voters would allow it to touch down on their side of the river. It wouldn't be especially surprising to end up with a new Oregon-built bridge, however, given the obstinance of the Porkland Democratics. We even have a good idea as to what it will look like:
Bridge-to-nowhere At least it'll be unlikely to impede river traffic.

And what we see here is the prime example of why Republicans win elections.

Not if Women, the rainbow groups, minorities, unions, elderly, the young, the sick, low wage workers, voters, college students, middle class, small business',etc...etc...etc have anything to do in 2014 - 2016. This is a deal between the Gov and the GM, one Dem. the other Rep.
