Is there any wonder they want to reduce service? Isn't reducing service basically a way to reduce the number of operators and overtime?These guys know that the vast majority of people who ride don't have any other options, so they will ride no matter how crappy the service is.
I'm sure TM will trot out Mary and she can explain it all very simply to the media! "If it weren't for that union and their richest benefit package, we could spend even more than 17.4 million moving everyone Downtown!" TM management also wants to move all it's MOW crews to a new , yet to be built facility when they already have a facilty at Elmonica and Ruby Jct. Those facilities are almost new, but some Manager decided he wanted to reinvent the wheel. Where is that money coming from? This is no BS.That is another dirty little secret that is tagged onto the PMLR project.
The money comes from the future chapter 9 bankruptcy whereas all debt get wiped clean!
It's the little secret that they announce only now. The truth is, they began working on it in 2008 and added the design to request additional PMLR funds in early 2009.
HURRAY!!!!Absolutely! It's time to make these leaders ACCOUNTABLE by direct election!Don't we do that with our School Districts? Don't we do that with our Utility Districts? Why shouldn't we make our Transit District leaders equally accountable for the services' success for failure???Exactly my point, Alan: AAA means, "Arrest the Anointed Appointments Already!!!"
