The only blog on the internet that takes a critical look at Trimet operations and does NOT just spit back Trimet press releases
I was wondering the same thing, i.e. about the lack of coverage. I was on that bus. The attack took place as we went under the Powell/17th viaduct, meaning we could have careened off concrete in both directions. It would have been a major accident. Pretty scary. The guys who restrained him -- I thought there were three of them, not two -- acted swiftly and heroically. Thinking good thoughts for the driver.
That's actually a major news story and it gets this little piece. And we wouldn't have got that either if I hadn't been reviewing the calls!
I feel really bad for this operator, but I have to say it reinforces my philosophy when it comes to fare. Never going to win that battle if your driving and they are standing, so why provoke it?
Why don't these drivers get that John?
