Human Resources Business Partner (2) vacancies
TriMet begins a search for two newly created senior level HR Business Partner positions. Together with a third HR Business Partner that will be filled internally, these positions form the center piece of initial efforts to reorganize and reenergize the HR function at TriMet. The aim is to build a top flight Human Resources team recognized throughout the industry as a best practices organization to compliment TriMet’s national reputation as one of the national gems (disgraceful) of public transit.
The HR Business Partners will report to the Executive Director, Labor Relations & Human Resources, itself a newly created position. The Business Partners will support specific Divisions within TriMet and may be located physically within the Divisions they serve. One of these two positions will support a very entrepreneurial Capital Projects Division with many construction and project professionals, together with Finance and the Office of the General Manager. The second Business Partner will support Operations and Safety. The Operations Division has more than 2000 union employees providing bus and light rail services. Operations is the heart of the organization and provides high volume, high public exposure, and high risk customer services. The Labor Relations team also provides significant support to Operations. For the Business Partner in this area, TriMet strong coaching and influencing skills with experience in change management would be very helpful.
