Everybody going nuts over Shaler Hallimon
I got news for everyone, not trying to be negative but he was not the most popular operator that ever drove a bus at Trimet.

He lost the perma-frown after he won operator of the year tho...
It's not a popularity contest after all..is it? This guy made it through a tough career and by all accounts, he was sucessful at it. Celebrate that achievement..that is what is really most important.
I hear you; Shaler did have some pretty outrageous interactions with customers and his peers. The challenge but certainly the joy of the frontline workforce is the uniqueness each indidvidual brings to the job. There is a certain magic in that!

He made it through that many years at Trimet is an achievement.
We didn't get along very well and he was not one of my fans.
Have some rider pals that are not crazy about him too.
