How much is her salary? For just talking to media? |
"These claims are absolutely not true," said TriMet spokeswoman Roberta Altstadt. "This is all part of the ATU leadership's $600,000 public relations smear campaign to divert attention away from the need to bring union health care costs under control and reform the contract."
(What a bunch of baloney. Trimet has spent far more than $600,000 on spreading their anti union message)

My comment on that story:
Typical Tri-Met rhetoric from their personal talking monkey. The ATU has been trying to bring these things to Tri-Met's attention for YEARS now! They've been saying this needs to be worked on for so long now. And every time, the ATU boys have been told the same thing, "Shut up. Don't say anything. And don't complain." Workers have asked for the green light to do the necessary work, and again, Tri-Met nixes it.
And now that... HEAVEN FORBID... something goes wrong with our precious MAX, what does Chim-Chim the Tri-Met monkey say? "It's the UNION'S fault!"
If any of you believe that, I have a nice patch of dry land on Sauvie Island to sell you.
And hey! Anyone notice all the delays on MAX service today? Is it coincidence that Tri-Met's finally decided to address this at the same time ODOT and Channel 6 News looked into it?
