Blevins on left |
This comes third hand but the person I heard if from I trust completely and she says the person she heard it from was at the meeting when Drew Blevins said this:
His statement: I won't ride Trimet buses because of the people that ride the buses and the people that drive the buses!

Drew Blevins is the Director of Marketing for the regional public transportation agency, TriMet, in Portland, Oregon. His responsibilities include directing TriMet’s marketing strategies for customer acquisition and retention. He leads the development, positioning and management of TriMet’s identity strategy by creating focus on those attributes that ensure alignment of the agency’s vision and culture with public perceptions. Drew has broad-based marketing management experience, including senior level positions in the retail, services, manufacturing and tourism industries. He is a graduate of the University of Washington, with a degree in Business Administration.
All of the above qualifications plus his foot in his mouth.
Shouldn't that be grounds for termination? Imagine if Microsoft's V.P. of Marketing publicly stated he would never use a computer that ran Windows. Or Apple's V.P. of Marketing stating that he'd never use an iPhone or an iPod or a Macintosh. Or a General Motors marketing exec saying he prefers Toyotas.
