We're watching a show similar to the one that's still playing out in the state of Wisconsin ,where a Governor is on the verge of being recalled. This is a man who deliberately created a budget crisis in order to wage war on state workers, hoping to create a race to the bottom scenario ripe for private profiteers (the Koch brothers) to come in and exploit.
Here in Portland, instead of a governor, we're dealing with a g.m., and instead of the Koch brothers, we have the multi-billion dollar light rail industrial complex. The war on the poor (people who depend on the bus) and working class (busdrivers and those who take the bus to work) is raging here in Portlandia. Stay tuned!
