Almost every Operator I have spoke with has
"A Story to Tell" regarding the issues of The Dirty Bus(s). Many of you knew
this introduction email would be coming, and now is the time for your story to
be heard and make a difference in our workplace environment. And please
believe me, it will!!
Confidentiality: The FactFindersForum is
created especially for those of you who feel that if you were to say
anything to anyone, your job(s) would be in jeopardy or it would cause you
problems. The Forum is designed as such to keep you and your name strictly
confidential, nor will this information be tied into, linked in with, or
accessible to the Tri~Met or Union, unless by Court Ordered, of course.
The key to this is: When you and others email your facts of the story to
the Forum, it is extremely important not to use your Tri-Met.org email.
Apparently Tri-Met has a way to retrieve information if we use their email
addresses. Yes, it is true that Hackers are out there. But if we use our personal, home emails only, this act would be in
violation of privacy and a law suit would the in order, immediately.
Purpose: FactFindersForum is a central
location where Operators and Other Union Members can submit their factual
stories. Upon receipt of your email, the report will be given a Reference
Number, which will be thereafter used to identify the report. Your
personal information or name will remain unknown until, at a later time,
you wish to become transparent. All information or reports will then be
compiled and categorized by topics.
Reason: Our Workplace as become one of a
bio-hazard, toxic and contaminated area in which we spend 3/4 of our day
in. Not to leave out all the other areas of unsafe issues. It is
Tri~Met's responsibility as an employer to provide a SAFE & HEALTHY work
environment for the employees. Again, they have been reluctant and
evasive to take the liability of providing solutions to these
problems. As we know, like everything else, the Company expects
everyone else to do their jobs for them and/or take the blame for their
mis-management(s) and neglect. It is not us that creates these
situations, but are the victims of the outcome.
Be
Supportive: Nothing will be done if we all just do
nothing! As Operators and Union Members, we ALL need to pull together and
stand up for what is fair and right. So far, we have had not much luck
from our leaders. But then again, how can they fight a battle with a
company of non-sense without a army? Spread the word and
let every front-line Union Member that if they have "A Story to Tell", then by

safe and confidential by private emails
only.
Documentation: Please open the attachments to view
just only a few pieces of facts and a testimony provided for the Forum.
When writing your story, please be respectful by no use of profanity, name
bashing and other non-useful information. Stating that you can obtain
Medical Reports and other factual documentation will be extremely helpful.
You need not to supply the actual document, just state you have it.
Remember, The Forum is designed to compile factual evidence and
testimonies.....Not harassment or blame.

Author: I am a Full-Time Operator of 7 years with
Tri~Met. I am just like you and I am not on any Board of
the Union or Tri~Met, nor am I doing this task on either of their
behalf(s). I can't stand politics!! I have "A Story
to Tell" too.....and no one cares to listen or do anything about it. I am
tired of becoming ill every time I return to the workplace and no physician can
identify, treat or resolve the illness. I have been denied of a Workers
Comp Claim, in which I am obtaining a very successful Attorney who has dealt
with other Tri~Met cases and the Company's mentality. My
Reasons?: To protect my Brother and Sister Operators, my own health,
and the welfare of our passengers!!! If this doesn't get the fire
burning under their butts-a-hoppin'....then I will start including the
passengers in my findings of Lab Reports. I may go down ..........
But NOT QUIETLY !!!!!!
