Real management reports!
As X and I discussed, a customer with a vision impairment has asked for a pair of stops on Line 156 at 152nd & Bradford. He said for the past several years, operators have treated this as a courtesy stop, but since the new signup the operator said he will only pick up at designated stops. The customer has trouble using the nearby stops at 152nd & Sedona because of a lack of sidewalk connection. Moving the stop from Sedona to Bradford would create the same problem for riders who live closer to Sedona. Adding a new stop at Bradford would result in very close spacing and potential complaints about a new stop from adjacent neighbors. We agreed that the simplest way to meet this customer's need may be to continue treat 152nd & Bradford as a courtesy stop for him, but on a more formal basis with specific instructions to operators.
He has a visual impairment but does not use a white cane.
He rides the 156 inbound to Clackamas TC every weekday morning. The trip he rides passes this intersection around 6:55 am.
He rides the 156 outbound from Clackamas TC every weekday evening, leaving on any of the trips between 6:00 pm and 7:40 pm.
Can you arrange for this to be treated as a courtesy stop? Please let me know the date on which this would become effective.
