Real Trimet public relations planning

I just got a call from the General Manager's office. They will be announcing to the public/media the early opening of Interstate MAX next Tuesday, September 16th at 1pm in the afternoon.

 

What's been requested:

- A new LRV with seats stationed at Rose Quarter north bound station.

- A trip from Rose Quarter to as far north as we can go...is it possible to go as far as the Overlook station?  Then return to Rose Quarter.

 

Event:

- Fred unveils sign at Rose Quarter with early opening

- Hops aboard train for quick trip (as far north as possible)

- Train immediately returns to Rose Quarter stations - lets people off.

 

That's what I know at this point. There is a very very slim chance this event could be move to the 23rd.

 

I will put in a track access request to go through the right channels - but I wanted to give you all a heads up that this is coming our way.
