Don't forget the time and aggravation you would spend getting back and forth from the various relief points.
And also the lost sleep when the station agent calls you at some ungodly hour asking if you want RDO work. They will still call even if you're on the "no call" list.
As a truck driver/CDL holde I am required by federal law to take a 10hr break between shifts. Are bus drivers exempt ?
city bus drivers are exempt, yes.
Transit Operators must have 8h hours off after 16 hours of work.
Interesting that you get board work, here the FT bottom gets the worst work possible, which doesnt include the board.
You think this is GOOD work?
Are you kidding?
The 8 hours off after 16 hours of driving is an internal policy-it is not mandated by federal law.
No, I was just surprised that the board here goes before set shift work. If you were that far down on our list, youd be driving a 7, 3, 4, 1 or 36 with TW off. Some people like the board because its different work everyday, helps with same thing day in/day out i guess.
That schedule is cruel and inhumane
punishment.Yet,for new full time drivers, that is the norm.
