Anybody notice that Trimet has not released its June ridership stats?
You'd think with that high-tech fancy dancy passenger counter system, and that 100+ strong I.T. team that is essential to the day-to-day operation of TriMet, that they could have the information released within DAYS of the end of the month.
I used to do month-end reports and I had to have an accurate count of the business we did - THE FIRST OF THE MONTH. Not the 22nd. Not the 15th. Not the 10th. THE VERY NEXT DAY! Failure to do so could mean the loss of millions of dollars if we couldn't render an invoice to the client on time. And I wasn't going to be the guy to explain to 200 employees that they lost their jobs because I couldn't get a report done on time.
And I didn't have a programming staff of over 100 people to back me up.
