Ah yes, the 'planners' can never get enough light rail/streetcars
After all, if they couldn't dream big they would all be out of work!
I got a big idea for a corridor in Amberglen: a bus. Or better yet, instead of building rail in a transit wasteland on a corridor that doesn't even have a bus, we improve bus service in that area. Add a bus on Cornelius Pass, Baseline, Quatama/205th, River Road, Brookwood, and improve other lines instead of leaping to streetcar. Oh wait, we can't do that, because of generous union benefits.
Heh! A streetcar that goes faster than you can walk? Ain't happened yet. How about BRT - you know, actual high-capacity transit? Naah...how would that look on a resume? The Goldschmidt crowd hates buses.
