Trimet downplays stabbing

As usual, Trimet is trying to pretend that yesterdays stabbing was not really that big of a deal:

While we are thankful that the physical injury sustained by the operator was minor and he is reportedly doing well

This is part of a STATEMENT issued by a Trimet talking head.

My understanding of this event is that Trimet has deliberately placed the layover and restroom in a questionable place and various Trimet employees have complained to upper management about this. As is standard procedure at Trimet the executives always know more than the front line employees and policy is formulated by top managers.

So Trimet executives can pat themselves on the back for creating the conditions that have lead to  another employee being stabbed.
