TRIMET ON THE BALL
A pal of mine who achieved Grand Master Operator three years ago just got the grand master patches today!
AND There are 30 new buses parked at Powell that can't be put on the road because they don't have radios! But all the old buses have new radios!
The not having "new radios" argument is utter bullshit.
Assign those drivers a portable radio (you know, the ones that the road relief drivers use) and put the buses on the road.
Done, and done. 30 new buses on the road.
Or do those buses need more "testing" (i.e. let them idle in the garage for 24 hours straight for several days - not much of a "test" considering that they were already driven some 700 or so odd miles to get to Portland - they weren't delivered on the back of a flatbed...)

Road relief operators do not get portable radios, and if they did, wouldn't they need them? Plus, there's more to the BDS than a voice channel.
And this is just a rumor.
