The awful truth about Service cuts

The Trimet power elite put forth the argument that it is the union benefits  that are strangling the agency.
The truth is its Trimet's subsidizing 'premium services' with general revenue funds that are strangling the agency.

The Streetcar is supposed to be paid for by the payroll tax rate increase.

Also, you are incorrect about Streetcar funding, as that includes the money the city pays TriMet to run it.

By your thinking mchuff Beeaverton could start its very own street car and then claim a rebate of the funds they pay into trimet to run the damn thing.
