Bucking the national trends;
First column on the left is this year second column last year. Trimet talks about buses in 2 categories, 'frequent' and 'other'. The fact of the matter is there is no 'frequent' service at Trimet. Bus ridership has decreased 3.6% and MAX ridership has plummeted a whopping 8.6%. The commuter rail has increased but the numbers are still to tiny to be of any significance.

What's amazing is that TriMet used to cite the percentage of riders on the "Frequent Service" bus lines, and that advantage is eroding - more and more riders are actually riding regular service.
Further, MAX is continuing its freefall.
