Chicago's Electronic Fare System debacle

And this is what TriMet wants - instead of a TESTED, PROVEN system like Orca Card that is a simple electronic fare system that has over 99.9% reliability over ten years:

"Customer Service" still non-existent for Ventra. 30-45 minute wait times, only to be connected to someone who will take your name and number and promise a call back. They never call. Email and/or website customer service requests unanswered for over two weeks. It is a debacle. One would think perhaps it is the same people who are managing the healthcare.gov rollout.

The people implementing this should never have a job in a similar industry again. Total incompetence.
