Protesters rally against C-Tran, TriMet, CRC

The Columbian The C-Tran board adjourned, and the light rail contract with TriMet stands. Board members voted 5-3 to defeat a resolution introduced by Clark County Commissioner David Madore that would have repealed the agreement. The vote came after an earlier rally against the contract, against C-Tran, and against the CRC drew about 150 people inside a space at The Academy. Many then packed into the board meeting at the Vancouver Community Library to speak in opposition to the agreement signed two weeks ago. Update (7 p.m.) -- The public comment period lasted 90 minutes. The vast majority of speakers were against the light rail contract signed with TriMet.
