Some facts that might interest you:


1: In 2004 Tri-Met bus operator top rate $20.86 and in 2015 is now $28.39. This is a 36.09% increase in pay over the past 11 years.

2: In 2004 ATU757 Maximum union dues $46.11 and in 2015 is now $70.31. This is a 52.48% increase in Maximum dues over the past 11 years.

3: In 2004 ATU757 Maximum union initiation fee $150.00 and in 2015 is now $225.00. This is a 50% increase in Maximum initiation fees over the past 11 years.

4: When Jonathan Hunt took office as President in 2006 ATU757 Asset value was $389,772.00. When he left as President in 2012 ATU757 Asset value was $331,616.00. Asset value dropped $58,156.00 while he was president.

5: When Bruce Hansen took office as President in 2012 ATU757 Asset value was $331,616.00. When he left as President in 2015 ATU757 Asset value was $1,127,114.00. Asset value increased $795,498.00. Keep in mind that during President Hansen’s term Tri-Met members assisted with paying $600,000.00 assessment fee. Excluding this fee President Hansen still increased the asset value $195,498.00.

In my investigations I have been learning little facts here and there that are really catching my attention so I figured I would share them with you as well. I have been researching ATU757 history starting at 2000 to current and trying to compare changes and if they have been for the good or bad. There are many interesting things I have stumbled across and when looking at 10 plus years it helps to gain a better picture of how we are doing as a union.
