TRIMET GENERAL MANAGER ATTEMPTS TO PASS THE BUCK-AGAIN
I'm a well-documented dissenter of TriMet's practices, so my response may be seen as biased. Still, I'm almost certain McFarlane wouldn't have done anything if he hadn't been busted. This is the same as when he promised more improvements to safety after the tragic accident May 2010 (which, if this is any indicator, didn't pan out.) He's simply trying to cover his own tracks and make himself look good, but if he paid any attention to the bus driving culture he'd have known and done something about it. Plain and simple. He's the GM, he should know. Considering how obvious it was in the first place, it's simply inexcusable that he didn't.

Well said Cam, as always.
