"Passenger answers the radio"

Real incident reports from Trimet supervisors
I received a call from Dispatch to go and see 1434 which was stopped at the first stop on the Hawthorne bridge west bound. They were concerned that a passenger had answered the radio and told them the operator was helping the passengers exit through one of the emergency windows.    I arrived at 5:53pm and talked with the operator.  What had happened was the doors wouldn't open to let a passenger exit.  She tried pushing on the doors to no avail.  She then left the bus to do a battery reset which didn't help plus now she finds herself locked outside of the bus with all of her passengers inside. One of the passengers opened the emergency window and they all started climbing out the window.  The operator was holding the window and helping people out making sure no one got hurt.  That is when one of the passengers answered the radio.  With everyone off the bus the driver climbed into the bus and called Dispatch.  Dispatch told her to try the butterfly button which she did and it fixed the problem.
The operator finished her shift and was told to see her station manager before  her next shift.
