A very reliable source has informed me that all the fears about the ticket printers did not happen. So I guess we can chalk one up to Trimet that the whole thing did not end in complete disaster on day 1.
Credit where credit is due. It still is a stop gap to a truly modern fare collection system which Trimet is years behind other transit districts

Good thing they weren't made by the same company that makes the crappy TVMs! (At least I hope not...)
So- I'm guessing that an operator still punches up one pad of old transfers with the day code for emergencies?
I wonder if the roll of blank tickets gets you through a typical block of 4-5 hours? (Or does it take a few days to go thru one roll?)
1 roll will last 2 or 3 days on a busy line
