PORTLAND TRIBUNE TAKES ANOTHER BELOW THE BELT SWIPE AT TRIMET BUS DRIVERS

The Portland Tribune (where former board member Steve Clark hailed from) has become the most powerful voice for Trimet management now. The Oregonian no longer just tows the Trimet executive line , Joe Rose's recent investigations have pissed off Trimet executives.

TriMet unveiled its new e-ticket app where riders can now buy and use fares from smartphones. TriMet is the first transit agency to use the locally produced app and promises it will be easy to use. Didn’t anyone ask: Do we really want TriMet drivers looking at more cell phones?

Another list: Allstate Insurance ranks Portland almost dead last in the ninth annual Allstate America’s Best Drivers Report. Expect some kind of collision once every 7.9 years. However, if you take TriMet drivers out of the equation, the numbers improve greatly.
