In all fairness, this one isn't TriMet's fault. U.P. needed the repairs to the bridge in areas unrelated to the section if the Steel Bridge TriMet uses. Even buses had to detour.
This is a very old and problematic bridge. With all of it's MAX routes using it, Trimet and ODOT should've worked together to replace it before building a new one further down the river.

It's irrelevant what the cause is
This is a very old and problematic bridge. With all of it's MAX routes using it, Trimet and ODOT should've worked together to replace it before building a new one further down the river.
