THE CULTURE OF SAFETY ALIVE AND WELL AT TRIMESS

Recently, Alex Hawk did a public records request of cab video looking outward on a Yellow Line MAX train from last weekend. According to Erik Halstead, a bicyclist ran right into the trains' right of way forcing the operator to hit the e-brake. Curious, Alex wanted to view video of said event.

However, according to TriMet, the train they were riding on had no front facing cameras installed on it.

You'd think that with such a MAX bias, that TriMet would have 1080P IMAX cameras installed on 100% of their fleet. Cameras have long been useful in traffic and transit situations and a camera tells the whole story. If you remember back in 2010 when a baby stroller was allegedly trapped between closing MAX train doors and was "dragged by the train"

You would have seen that the guy was a lying SOB. The cyclist could easily have claimed injury and TriMet would have no evidence to back up their claim.

Make a public records request for the equipment installation and maintenance history for train 324.

I have seen forward facing video from a Type 1 car, so at least some do have them
