I know I’ve made comments concerning the company using
Google Maps to do their schedules, but let me say, “I apologize to Google Maps”,
they get it right. Although I had forgotten
the companies name of the software, but it is antiquated. Here is a sample of the companies schedule
using a Saturday schedule for the 70 line:
Columbia River corrections institute to Jackson Street in Milwaukie:
CRCF 845 845
33rdkill 854 856
33rdBdway 901 900
Holy11EB 909 910
12thBurn 912 916
Mad&11 916 921
PowlMilw 920 927
17thCent 922 930
13thTac 932 940
Jksn70LO 938 948
Total time:
Trimet: Google
Maps:
53 minutes 63
minutes
As you see by the two, Google Maps gives the driver time to
go the speed limit, while the companies schedule requires the operator to go
over the speed limit to get to the end of the line, on time. This has been a particular problem this sign
up, with all the complaints that you and I have seen on tweets, blogs and
regular riders.
So, let me say that “I apologize for thinking the company
used Google Maps” to do their schedules.
Google Maps would be a step up from the old software the company uses.

Henry has a point. Most of the schedules are not attainable. One simply can not keep the bus on time.
