What is it they accuse me of?
Going from part time operator to full time operator and not even working one day as a full time operator but instead taking a vacation day!
First of all this is common practice at Trimet. Dozens and dozens of 'mini runners' did this long before I did . And why do Trimet part timers do this? To get the family health coverage that's why. You get no additional pension.
Back in 'the day' the health coverage was free because Trimet paid for it. Well that is not the case any longer, now all retirees must pay for that coverage since Trimet executives decided that a 'contract it not a contract' when it comes to their union employees. I save about $100/mo by retiring as a full time employee
While all the executives rob the treasury with absurd salaries and ridiculous pensions they keep cutting their union employees pensions and salaries by forcing them to pay for their own health care they have the nerve to complain about me 'gaming the system'
I got three words for those executives that like to complain about me...

All you did was take advantage of provisions in the contract, just like anyone who wants to try to get the most that they can get would do.
And I hope that, for the district's sake, they've done the same kind of things (though Ideally not when dealing with their own employees).
