I used up all of my sick time before, during and after my hip replacement. Was totally unaware that I was still on some monitoring period and ended up on "last chance " shit. I can't call in sick until after Feb. 27th or they can fire me and at this point I definitely want to go out on my own terms.
I'm sick about what they are doing to us. I may need a left knee replacement, a left hip replacement and my lower teeth need extractions and replacements and for two implants to hold the flippers in place it's upwards of 8k and our cadillac dental doesn't cover any of it. I swore I was going to develop TMJ from clenching my jaw so tightly in the past couple of days trying to keep the bus on the road.
I thought the insta chains were magical when I flipped the toggle switch and out they jingled but then I lost traction trying to service a stop and being stuck behind a couple of sideways vehicles on a hill in a part of town where they shouldn't have had us in the first place, (line 47/67 it was like sledding over there on Laidlaw near West Union. T.M. had me on a list to be rescued and this man who was helping the sideways cars came and shoveled enough of a path fore and aft for me to rock myself out and up the hill. He climbed down and said there were no chains at all, so I thought I had lost them. When I pulled forward I hit the toggle switch again and out came the chains-thank the traction faeries! Not sure at what point in the ride they disengaged?
