Isn't this great? |
It's been said that Trimet is a transit riders dream come true. I don't know about that but it sure has been this transit bloggers dream come true. (actually pretty much all of American transit is a commuters nightmare) Never a dull moment following Trimet and all of its crazy bullshit that goes on there day after day after day!
Take this lovely little Trimet press release about the Trimet WES, unarguably the best ride in the Trimet system but yet it's ridership is pretty weak and it requires huge subsidies to keep it going.
I love Trimet for all its whacky and crazy nonsense that comes out there! And I love these Trimet executives who have perfected the art of deception so well that most of the world is fooled. These execs never stop trying to make themselves richer than they already are all the while while destroying their retirees and dragging down their current employees. God love em, without their lying cheating ways 1/2 my blog would have no content!
BUT THEN WE HAVE THE WES IN ALL OF ITS GLORY!

Huge is an understatement, as it's something like $18 per rider. Yet they can't dump it, or they have to pay money they don't have over to the feds. And while "money they don't have" isn't usually a problem for bureaucrats, it actually presents sort of an issue for them, in this case.
