Turns out that Brian Playfair is also a double dipper
Let's review: A fulltime Trimet busdriver retires after 30 years on the job (consistently rated one of the most stressful occupations) with a pension of $2,250 per month. I doubt Mr. Playfair had 30 years at Trimet yet his pension is about 5 times more than that 30 year operator's. And he's still on the active payroll? If a busdriver retrires after 11years like Fred Hansen did, his/her pension would be about $8oo a month while Hansen's is about $16,000 a month. So Hansen's pension is not double, triple, or quadruple that of an operator's, it's 20 TIMES GREATER! Tell me again where the fat is at Trimet?
Are Trimet high level managers part of the PERS system? Or did Fred continue to contribute to that system? I ask because Hansen's resume (per Oregonlive) lists stints at DEQ and State Treasurer. State jobs are PERS pension jobs. So, while it's a fabulous pension amount, perhaps some was accumulated in previous positions.
If he wasn't, then that's a ton of money for ten years on the job at Trimet!

The irony of this is that he does not play fair.
