Why Trimet cannot provide truly world class service

The answer has nothing to do with union benefits although that's what the oligarchs want you to think. The real answer is that Trimet is over bureaucratized with layer upon layer of managers, specialists, planners etc . Look at the list below, if everyone of those positions was converted into an actual driver position this company would be able to provide truly frequent service (every 8 mins or less) and run late into the night. And many of the positions below have multiple personnel in that job description. It's criminal that the oligarchs have turned a once proud transit agency into this pork filled  tax funded bloated bureaucracy.
