HILLSBORO, Ore. -- A MAX Blue Line train was involved in a collision with an automobile in Hillsboro Sunday morning.
At 10:09 a.m. TriMet, the agency overseeing MAX service, sent out the following service alert: "MAX Blue Line in Hillsboro is disrupted due to a collision between a train and an auto. Expect delays."
At 10:27 a.m. Sunday, MAX Blue Line service in Hillsboro had been restored.
According to TriMet spokesperson Roberta Altstadt, "Initial reports indicate the auto ran a red light on 10th at Washington. There was only minor damage reported to both vehicles."
"One person from the train complained of injury and was transported," Altstadt said in her prepared statement.
Riders on the Blue Line "may notice" minor delays through 11 a.m. as regular service returns, TriMet reports.
