Diane Goodwin Tiffany,
it has been a challenging time for our riders. We're all eager to do
our part of help maintain transit in the region. These non-union
employees are a diverse group of people: Jamal in the copy room, Gwen in
admin, Monika in transit equity and Michelle, a single mom. Many are
struggling from paycheck to paycheck just trying to make ends meet.
There is more to the story.
And here she completely gets it all wrong. We did not get 3% COLA's for each and every year I remember one year it was 1% and the only reason we got them was because a judge ordered Mcfarlane to obey the law.
Futhermore she also states we got 'fully paid health care' another complete lie. I paid over $200/mo for over a year if I remember correctly and now we have deductibles, copay's, and I have to come up with $188 now out of my puny pension

Diane Goodwin Hi
Tiffany, Just to clarify, it was some 415 employees who received raises
averaging 3 percent for the first time since 2009 that combined for
about $910,000.This group also kicked more each year for health care.
During that same period, our represented employees received some $16
million in raises, annual 3 percent bumps as required by the contract
and fully paid health care.
