When ever the Trimet multi million dollar tax funded marketing department can conjure up some stupid 'feel good' story to spit out to the press who dutifully reproduce it to the masses they do it.
Weather its the 100 year old man, a 'cement pour' or 'we are 1/2 way done' none if it is news but it is spread by the mainstream media to influence the minds of the masses to support the light rail agenda and Trimet in general. And now they are rolling out another round of NAME THAT BRIDGE which as you can see by that link at PORTLAND TRANSPORT they rolled out last April. But its a 'feel good' thing, they can roll it out a few more times before the damn thing opens.
Those of us who understand the REAL TRIMET understand it all about the MONEY and getting your tax dollars into the hands of people who happen to have influence with Trimet MANAGEMENT
It's not about the bridge and it sure as hell ain't about transit
