I don't get to comment over there anymore so I will have to treat their posts like I treat an 'official' Trimet post. To make a long story short, the street car needs to be taken off public welfare

It is a true fact that the Oregon Sustainability Center, including a diagonal opening for two tracks, was planned for that block, and that building around and over active streetcar tracks is much more complicated.

So what Jason? Goddamn street car needs to be handed off to the developers its serves

I'm not saying who should fund the improvement (and developers have contributed in the past), just that it's not Streetcar's fault that other pieces of the urban puzzle didn't fall as early or as planned.

If that stupid street car didn't siphon funds for REAL transit i would have had no objection.

The asinine thing duplicated already existing service and screwed the riders on the west side completely out of their bus service
