Requiring passwords be changed is not an unusual network security practice. And at least some banks require you to enter a code that they send you (in addition to your password) if they don't recognize your computer. But are employees able to get on the intranet at garages without logging on?
Also, is there a union person present during those 1-on-1 discussions?
