We have noticed the complete lack of dissent on that 'board' since the Judas Kitzhaber replaced Lerbach

and the current chair at that time Rick Van Beveran. Van Beveran was more or less a sock puppet but the man did have heart. Lerbach actually had the guts to put real questions to the staff. Now everything zooms through with the occasional question or two followed by a unanimous vote.

Mcfarlane has a bunch of business people controlling his process. Just like the rest of America Trimet has become another corporate controlled entity.
But the true story of Trimet is the one that you only heard from a couple of speakers at the last board meeting. Michael Anderson was the only reporter who covered it as he is the only recognized reporter not controlled by corporate interests.
What is the story? THE $12 MILLION DOLLAR BUDGET DEFICIT TRIMET CLAIMED TO HAVE NEVER MATERIALIZED! THE BIGGEST TRIMET STORY OF THE YEAR-(that nobody covered)
It was all a scam, and they got away with it completely, basically because of the corporate media who refuses to cover anything that is not anti union. There has never been one story about management malfeasance. Joe Rose referred to Fred's 18k/mo pension PRECISELY once on his blog. Compare that to all of his anti union anti bus driver stories.
Lives have been disrupted by scamming corporatists, and nobody knows about it except OPAL (who are the people that uncovered it) and the people that read this post.
Good job Mcfarlane, you pulled it off.
Ezekiel 25:17 | ||
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
