What's very sad is that in Europe, train cabs are designed so that you can look through the cab wall and out the front window.
And the Streetcar operators seem to have no problem leaving the door and windows open...
It sounds like a MAX operator has a case of superiority complex...it's not like there is anything super secret in the cab, and if an Operator feels he is entitled to some semblence of privacy, he needs to look for a new line of work. TriMet is NOT private - there is NO PRIVACY at TriMet. It is a government agency.
Remember this was the case for all of the type 4s until one by one the operators started covering the windows.
MAX FAQs says that it's partly because of glare.
Never the less, Alex getting booted from the train was another example of an out of control ego maniac operator.
It's sickening.
Yes, I agree this is outrageous.
